Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. It’s used to remember information between pages or between visits — from keeping a choice you’ve already made to measuring how people use the site.
In this policy, I use the word “cookie” in a broad sense: it also covers other forms of browser storage with the same effect, such as localStorage, which is what this site uses to remember your cookie choice.
2. How I ask for your consent
On your first visit, you’ll see a notice with three equally prominent options: accept all, reject all or choose category by category. Rejecting takes exactly one click, just like accepting.
Until you decide, no cookies are activated other than the strictly necessary ones. Analytics and advertising tags are blocked in the code and only load if you consent to their category.
Your choice is saved for 6 months. After that, you’ll be asked again. You’ll also be asked again if I change the categories or providers.
3. Cookies used on this site
Strictly necessary · always active
These are needed for the site to work and to remember your own cookie choice. They don’t require consent and can’t be turned off.

4. Google Consent Mode
Google tags on this site run with Consent Mode v2. In practice: until you accept, Google is explicitly instructed not to set any advertising or analytics cookies. If you accept, that instruction changes and the tags start working normally. If you reject, nothing changes.
5. International transfers
Google and Meta may process data outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. Both rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. If you reject the statistics and marketing categories, these transfers never take place.
6. Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change your mind at any time, and it’s just as easy as giving consent: use the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer, or this button.
7. Deleting cookies from your browser
Regardless of the above, you can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Bear in mind that blocking all of them may affect how this and other websites work.
8. Changes to this policy
If I add, remove or change providers, I’ll update this page and ask for your consent again. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
